IRON LACE FLYING CAMEL

About the work
A Material Evolution of a Desert Myth
Created in 2019, this structure is a later material evolution of the original Flying Camel. The installation translates the familiar silhouette into a new visual language, bridging structural engineering with traditional craftsmanship. The project was commissioned for the luxury resort, Six Senses Shaharut.
The craft and ornamentation of the structure balance a precise design tension: the raw simplicity of the desert landscape combined with the refined elegance of a luxury hotel. The delicate metal filigree creates shifting shadows on the desert floor, integrating naturally into the surrounding architecture and environment.
The 6 meter high sculpture is created from metal, adorned with handmade local Bedouin glass talismans. The installation redefines the hospitality experience within the hotel's public spaces, providing a landmark that merges art, regional culture, and spatial design.
